OSU’s nationally ranked program offers new perspectives on the entrepreneurial mindset

by Purpose Unlimited

When most people hear the word “entrepreneur” or “entrepreneurship,” what usually comes to mind is someone who owns their own business, or is starting their own business. According to a recent article by Oklahoma State University, “While that is the traditional definition of an entrepreneur, learning the ways of entrepreneurship gives someone a completely new mindset when it comes to business.”

The School of Entrepreneurship at Oklahoma State University’s Spears School of Business offers undergraduate, master’s and Ph.D. degrees in entrepreneurship. Its master’s degree was recently ranked as the No. 1 online master’s in entrepreneurship program in the country. This program prepares both entrepreneurs and those who prefer to enter the workforce with a different and unique point of view. Dr. Bruce Barringer, who was ranked a top 25 entrepreneur professor in 2013, knows that while some qualities of a business mindset are already ingrained, other aspects can be taught and more importantly, learned.
